A founding member of our international network, Lars holds a degree in hotel management from the University College North in Aalborg, Denmark, and an MBA with a major in Business Creativity from the Business Institute, Aalborg. He is also a graduate of the XII Junior Chamber International (JCI) Leadership Academy in Hiroshima, Japan and is an International Training Fellow (ITF) of the JCI Training Institute. Through his work with leaders and entrepreneurs in more than 100 countries, Lars has developed a great understanding of the practices of leadership, strategic thinking, innovation, and cultural & cognitive diversity.
Lars Hajslund is a learnovator and a business advisor who has experienced the phenomenon of leadership and innovation as a leader of for-profit and non-profit organizations in Europe and the Americas, as a consultant to recognized companies, such as Philips, ECCO Shoes, EY, BDO, Best Western Hotels, First Hotels, VisitDenmark, and KLM/Air France, among others. His outstanding skills in business strategy, innovation, and leadership have allowed him to serve these clients in the creation of their strategic plans, cultures, innovation systems, and leadership development processes.
Lars was one of the highest executive officers of the Junior Chamber International (JCI), a worldwide membership-based nonprofit organization of young leaders, entrepreneurs, and active citizens ages 18 to 40 dedicated to creating positive change, conducting projects in more than 5,000 communities across more than 115 countries. Lars have been in charge of the strategic collaboration with the United Nations and its Agencies, the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC), and other non-governmental organizations and multinational corporations. After being elected JCI World President for 2006, he served as the leader of the overall organization, visiting head of states, CEOs, dignitaries, presidents of universities, chancellors of colleges, and having TV, radio, and newspapers appearances in more than 60 countries as the main spokesman of the organization.
Lars Hajslund has lead seminars, workshops, and keynotes in 115 countries. He co-founded N∙O∙W, an innovation and strategy center headquartered in Billund, Denmark, that serves organizations worldwide in the areas of learning and innovation. He has managed the operations of one of the largest and most flexible experience centers in Scandinavia.
As one of the founders of the CLICK Institute International Research, Learning, and Innovation Network, Lars serves as one of the co-leaders of the network. He also serves as a member of our Board of Directors.
