Latin American Affairs

Paula is an Industrial Engineer graduated from the Technological University of Pereira (UTP), Colombia, with an specialization in Design and Product Management for International Trade, from the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana, Bogotá, Colombia. Her thesis as an engineer was the “Design of a Model of Business Association for the Export of Exotic Fruits to the European Union”, which received the Prometheus Award for Professional and Business Excellence, for being the best thesis developed in the previous twenty years in the Colombian coffee production region.

 

With more than 18 years managing companies, leading strategic departments of marketing, sales, procurement, and international relations, Paula is certified in Supply Chain Management by the University of the Andes and the International Trade Center (WTO).

 

Paula has led and supported trade negotiations with Colombia, Japan, Togo, Mexico, Venezuela, Canada, Spain and other countries of the European Union. She was founding dean of the School of of International Business Administration of the University Foundation of the Andean Area. He also served as a lecturer in graduate and undergraduate programs.

She served as certified consultant to the Center for Innovation and Business Development, co-founded by the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), the University of Pereira, and the Javeriana University. Paula is an advocate for innovation and entrepreneurship, advising companies and chambers of commerce and industry on innovation and international trade. She speaks English, French, and Spanish.

 

At CLICK Institute, Paula serves as director of international affairs for Latin America.
